As you may have realised by the slight changes to the website, Highland Felting and Fibre Supplies has changed hands recently.
Sue has passed the website on to us, Sonja, Michael and Liza and we wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
We are 3 siblings living in and around the very picturesque town of Deloraine in Tasmania.
We hope to continue to supply you with beautiful hand dyed wool products and also, over the next few months, introduce new products and bring back the fine Merino and other fibre options that have been offered in the past.
We hope to post more tutorials and post links to helpful sites as well.
In the mean time, enjoy our site and keep checking back as we will be posting new items (and old favourites) soon!

The needle felted prefelts are ready to go, at Highland Felting we have needle felted prefelt batts available in Corriedale.

Use these fantastic wool batts for any project you can turn your imagination too. Try table runners and cushion covers, bags and hats, slippers, wine bottle holders, throw rugs, clothing, cat caves, felted play mats for toddlers pictures and wall hangings and the list goes on……
If you need larger sizes or colour combinations just give us a call. Below are the links to the Needle Felted Wool Prefelts made on farm right here in the highlands of Tasmania.

I received the following letter regarding a competition, you may be interested…..
Dear Sir or Madame,
My name is Kerstin. I work for Maxus, which is a media agency based in Sydney.
Today, Spirit of Tasmania, which is one of our clients, opened a model making competition today:
I was wondering if this contest might be of interest for you as it is very open in regard of what kind of submission can be made, I am sure there could be some great wool and fibre work and models on that!
The competition will be open for entries until 27 January 2014.
Anyway I’m curious to know what you think of it, maybe this is something to share with knitting, spinning, craft lovers?
